Join The Sportfishing Conservancy for a great day on the coast in the 13th Annual No Motor Tournament and have a great chance to win a fishing kayak and other prizes.

Coming – “No Motor” fishing tournament brings an awesome chance to spend a morning on the water, help a local family and maybe even win an awesome kayak.

This year’s 13th annual “No Motor” tournament kicks off in a virtual format on Saturday October 16 and provides another opportunity to spend a morning on the beach and maybe win some awesome prizes. More importantly, your participation can help conservation with net proceeds going to helping conserve the Carpinteria Salt Marsh that provides a nursery for so many of our local inshore fish species.

The “No Motor Tournament” offers surf anglers and shore based kayakers, standup paddle boards, and float tubers not only a chance to get their feet wet, but also the opportunity to win a fishing kayak along with some awesome prizes. Anglers can compete mano a mano from the sand on the beach, or in kayaks, float tubes, and stand up paddleboards. Specific instructions on how to qualify fish will be posted on Instagram at 6:30am Saturday morning out and a virtual “weigh in” closing at 11:30 a.m.   Entry is the same $20, with raffle tickets included for all paid entries. In addition to this year’s kayak, raffle will include awesome prizes donated locally. Remember, all proceeds will go to benefit conservation. For more information visit the links below to the rules and registration forms or call or 424 731 9008 and leave a message.

For entering you get a raffle ticket for great prizes.  If you place in the top 3 spots extra raffle tickets are awarded giving the hot sticks extra chances of winning a prize.  But anybody who enters can win the grand prize or one of the other prize packages.
